
Denver & Rio Grande Railroad 1895-1908 A&W Lantern w/ Clear Etched "D&RG" Tall Melon Globe
Here is a very nice Denver & Rio Grande Railroad lantern that is all tin! The frame stands 10 ½" tall without the bail, and has only been cleaned of oil & dirt. It is in excellent condition with lots of original tin. Very straight. It is embossed on the edge of the top lid "D&RGRR, The Adams & Westlake Company, Chicago, New York", with the last embossed patent date of "May 28, 1895", and is stamped "PAT. May 5, 1908" to the right. The 5 3/8" tall clear melon globe is etched "D&RG". The globe is in excellent to near mint condition with no rim flea bites or chips. The lantern comes with the correct A&W fount & burner that is all tin and will still hold oil and burn.
