AT&SFRy "Santa Fe Railway" 1907 A&W Switch Lamp
This 1907 Adams & Westlake Company AT&SFRy (Santa Fe Railway) switch stand lantern is in excellent condition. The lantern frame is
embossed with "AT&SFRy" near the bottom, which is the harder to find model. It is also marked at the top of the frame on a brass plate: "The Adams & Westlake Company, Chicago, Ill.", with the last patent date being Aug. 13th,1907. The lamp comes with two (2) amber 4 1/4" dia.
Corning glass lenses, and two (2) green 4 1/8" Corning glass lenses. All four lens hoods are there. The pot of this lantern is in excellent condition and will still hold oil, and has an old replacement burner that is marked "Perfolite, PAT. Sept.1, 1914". This very fine lantern
measures 14 ½" tall with fuel pot in place, and is 8" wide. The lamp has only been cleaned of oil & soot, but it appears to
have been repainted some time ago, most likely by the railroad shop. Here is another great switch lamp that would be a great present for any Santa Fe Railroad memorabilia collector!
