Santa Fe Railroad Complete Brakeman's Uniform

One of the few Santa Fe Railroad uniforms you will find with information about the man who wore it! This navy wool winter uniform, complete with pants, vest, coat and hat, from Carlson & Co. in Chicago, is in excellent condition. It was worn by a gentleman in Arizona who started working for the Santa Fe RR in 1942. He retired in 1978. He started off as a brakeman, promoted to conductor on the Santa Fe Super Chief. The uniform has all the silver brakeman buttons, made by Waterbury Button Co., Waterbury, Conn. (see picture), hat badge, and a Santa Fe RR lapel pin. We believe the uniform jacket is a 41 regular.
