Santa Fe Railroad Gold Conductor's Button & Hat Badge Set

This is a complete button and hat badge set from the Santa Fe Railroad. It was owned by a retired gentleman in Arizona who started as a brakeman on the Santa Fe RR in 1942. He was promoted to conductor on the Santa Fe Super Chief, and retired in 1978. There are ten 1/2" gold buttons, six 1" gold buttons, two gold side buttons for the hat band, and one gold conductors hat badge. There seems to be three extra coat buttons, probably in case he lost one! The buttons were made by "The Waterbury Button Co., Waterbury, Connecticutt (see picture). The hat badge shows slight wear over the "C", otherwise this is a full set in top condition. The complete Santa Fe RR brakeman uniform & hat from the same estate will be sold seperately (see Item No. #2131). A fine addition to any Santa Fe Railroad collection, and hard to find this complete!
