D&RGW Railroad Cast Iron Wall Caboose Lamp Bracket w/ Tin Fount

Here is a very nice Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad cast iron wall caboose bracket with the tin fount & burner. These were made by the D&RGW in the Burnham shops, and it is embossed on the cast iron bracket "_&RGW", and "6801". The casting of the bracket is fair with the "D" missing in "D&RGW" because of a flaw in the mold. We have seen this before on other cast brackets. The bracket has been repainted, and its dimensions are; 7 1/2" long, 5" tall at the mounts, with the fount holder being 3 1/2" tall. The inside diameter of the fount holder is 4 1/4", and the outside diameter is 5". The galvanized tin fount is also embossed "D&RGW". The wick adjuster is marked "P&A, Dorset Div., Made In U.S.A., Thomaston, Conn.", and the adjuster works fine. The dimensions of the fount without the chimney are; 6 ½" tall, and 4" in diameter. The chimney is a newer replacement. These are very hard to find complete. A very decorative railroadiana piece you can proudly display!
