1890-1900's Oak Serpentine Front Dresser w/Large Mirror
This solid and functional dresser is what we call a "marriage". The two pieces, top and bottom, have been put together. They are a perfect match and make a lovely dresser. The front of the dresser is serpentine- shaped (curved), with two small upper drawers, and two large lower drawers. The hardware is all original and the locks are present, no key. The fronts of the drawers are veneered, the top solid oak. The mirror is original, with a beveled edge & some age streaks. The harp and mirror have simple applied carving. Dimensions of the dresser are; 42 wide, 21 deep, and the overall height with the mirror attached is 72 tall. This dresser is in need of a new finish, but no repairs. A new mirror could replace the present mirror, but we usually leave the original mirrors if possible on our antiques. So, that decision is up to the client. This will be a very nice bedroom piece when finished!
$975.00 if purchased "Restored"
