1900's ¼ Sawn Oak Buffet w/ 5 Toe Claw Feet & Beveled Mirror
This great buffet is what we call a “transition” period piece, with five toe claw feet and empire revival period curved front columns on the base and as upper supports on each side of the mirror. The majority of the buffet is quarter sawn oak veneer. The dimensions of the buffet are: 48" wide, 24 ¼" deep, and the overall height with the top section attached is 55 ½" tall. The mirror appears to be a recent replacement. The top left drawer is marked "Made By J.K. Rishel Furniture Co., Williamsport, PA.". The brass hardware is simple in design and is original. There are locks on all of the drawers and bottom doors, but there is no key. A key could be made, however. The buffet has been professionally refinished. It will be a superb piece for a dining area. Since it is lower in profile than some buffets, it will fit the open floor plan that many homes have today!
