Queen Anne Period Cherry Tilt Top Table-Candlestand
A very elegant Queen Anne period (1780-1820) tilt top table in excellent and room ready condition. This was originally an east coast piece. It has curved "snake" style legs and pad feet on a turned pedestal. The tilt top has a serpentine edge. It has a wood latch to hold the top horizontal. It is a smaller table, possibly a large size candlestand. The dimensions of the tilt top table are; 38 1/8" tall when tilted up, and 26 1/2" tall with the table top flat, and the top is 21 1/2" by 17 3/4" oblong. The finish is in excellent condition, no repairs to the feet or pedestal. A very fine period piece that would be at home in your parlor!
