1878 A&W Pullman Co. Nickel & Brass Clear Etched Globe Bell Bottom Lantern

A very nice 1878 Adams & Westlake lantern made for the Pullman Palace Car Company. The nickel over brass bell bottom frame is in excellent original condition with  very little wear, and there are no dents or dings. It is embossed on the bell "Pullman", and stamped on the bottom of the fount "A&W Co., Chicago" in the old hexagon shaped logo. On the side of the fount it is stamped "P Globe", and stamped under the lid on the globe holder is the patent date "PATD. FEB 19, 78". The frame measures 9 3/4" tall without the bail. The original 4 5/8" tall clear globe is etched in fancy letters "P Co." , and is in near mint condition with no rim chips or flakes. The fount and burner are in excellent condition with no holes or dents. Pullman Company lanterns in this condition are getting harder to find, so don't wait too long!
