1934 Denver & Rio Grande Western Clear Etched Corning Globe Adlake-Kero Lantern
A very nice Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad lantern that is sure to please! The lantern frame is in excellent original condition with a lot of tin. It has only been cleaned of oil & dirt. Embossed on the top lid is "D&RGWRR" on one side, and "The Adams & Westlake Co." on the otherside. Embossed on the bottom of the frame are the patent dates and "Adlake-Kero, 3-34" (third quarter of 1834). There is only one very small ding on the top lid, very straight. The lantern is 9 1/2" tall without the bail. The 3 1/4" tall clear etched "D&GWRR" corning globe is in very good condition with some minor rim chips on the top and bottom that can not be seen when in the frame. It is cast with the corning "Cnx" logo & "Adlake-Kero", and etched on the otherside "Safety First" is in excellent condition and ready to use. This lantern is a real beauty, and will be an eye pleaser for any Colorado railraod collector!
