Colorado & Southern Railway 1913 Adlake Reliable Clear Etched Globe Lantern
This is an extremely nice piece from the Colorado & Southern Railway. One that is getting harder to find. The lantern frame has lots of tin and excellent metal, and has been cleaned of oil & dirt, then hand polished with a cotton cloth. It is embossed on the on the top lid " C&SRy, The Adams & Westlake Co., New York, Chicago, Phila., Adlake Reliable" with the last patent date being April 1, 1913. The lantern comes with a clear etched 5 3/8" tall globe that is in excellent condition. The bottom and top rims are perfect. A very nice old globe! The lantern comes with the correct Adlake fount and burner, which will still hold oil and burn. The lantern stands 10 1/4" tall without the bail and is very straight. This is an impressive Colorado railroad piece that is sure to brighten up any collection,...why not yours!
