1870's Victorian 1/4 Sawn Oak Griffin Library Desk

This gorgeous and elegant library desk would make all that awful paperwork not so awful! The library desk is of quarter sawn oak, with carving all around the outside of the writing surface. The table is supported at each corner by snarling lions (griffins). The drawer to the desk runs the full length of one side, and the north wind depicted on the front is the drawer pull. The dimensions of the desk are 45" long, 30" wide, and 28" tall. The drawer is 3" deep. It has been professionally refinished. This desk could possibly have been made by the Horner Company from New York, but we have no authentication, only a wonderful desk!
