Elgin National Floor Model Double Wheel Store Coffee Mill

For those of you always thinking of that next cup of coffee, and for any collection of unique Americana, this would be a fun piece to own! This wonderful cast iron country store coffee mill, circa 1890, is in excellent original condition. Cast on the outside of the wheels is "Elgin National Coffee Mill", cast on the inside of the wheels is "Woodruff & Edwards, Elgin, Illinois. The red paint is in good condition, only the feet have been touched up (see photo). The nickel plated hopper is topped by an American Eagle. It is 19 ½" tall by 9 ½" in diameter. There are only a few very minor imperfections & dings in the surface. The coffee mill dimensions are: 69" tall, 24" wide at base, and each wheel is 27 3/4" in diameter. The ground coffee bin has a handle and spout, and the dimensions are: 8 ½" tall by 14" long. Just imagine a full size country store coffee mill in a corner of your kitchen!
