Victorian Hanging Parlor Lamp w/Nasturtium Pattern Milk Glass Shade

This is a very quaint and decorative hanging parlor lamp, all ready for a new home. The brass frame is in excellent condition, and has been professionally cleaned & clear coated. The lower portion of the frame holding the front is in a ribbed edge pattern, which compliments the center shade support. The brass counterweight controls the adjustment of the length of the lamp and has the original smoke bell attached to it. The counterweight weighs about 10 pounds by itself. The 14" diameter milk glass shade is decorated in a rose tone nasturtium pattern on front and back, and is in perfect condition, no chips or cracks. The glass front is original to the lamp, and is in a diamond quilted pattern. The brass fill cap is original also. It has been electrified with a kit, but has the original burner which is marked "White Star" (see picture), and can be returned to kerosene in a few minutes. There are 32 glass prisms. The length of the lamp is; 39 ½" long, but it can be lowered. An excellent Victorian lamp for a very simple and uncluttered country style home!
