Victorian German Child's Coin Silver Tea Set
This is a delicate and dainty early German coin silver tea set from the late 1800's. There are five pieces to the set; sugar,
creamer, lid for the sugar, teapot with hinged lid, and serving tray. The entire set is festooned with tiny repousse' rose buds,
scrolling, and vines, with small bows highlighting each piece. The coin silver is in excellent condition, no dents or repairs,
and shines beautifully with just a little polish. The teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl are all footed. The sugar bowl has a tiny
pixie head with a flower hat at the top of each handle (see picture). The dimensions of the teapot are; 7 3/8" tall, and 7"
wide (from lip to handle). The creamer is 3 1/4" tall, and 3 7/8" wide (from lip to handle). The sugar bowl is 3 3/8" wide, 3"
deep, and 3 1/4" tall. The serving tray is 12 1/4" wide, and 9 ½" deep. Each piece is bottom marked with two hallmarks, a
crown and crescent, followed by the number "800". The set is extremely attractive and would be a fabulous addition to the
collection of a doll collector, or a person with fondness for children's things!
