1930's Torchere Floor Lamp w/Marbleized Beige Tone Shade
This is a fabulous decorator item, just the thing to give your ceiling illumination where it is needed! The bronze tone base and stand are in excellent condition. There are a few age discoloration marks at the base, but no rust. There is brass trim around the base, with white marble encircling the top of the base. The column or pole is reeded brass bands, and the three-way switch is marked "f". The porcelain socket was for old style large based bulbs, so we purchased a reducer, enabling us to use a three-way light bulb. The torchere shade is perfect, no chips or cracks, in a marbleized beige tone, with a column and fern pattern. It matches the lamp beautifully, but we are unsure of the age of the shade. Height of the torchere lamp with the shade on is 64 ½". Diameter of the shade is 16" and diameter of the base is 11". Got the perfect spot for this lamp?
