Aladdin No. 9 Brass Hanging Parlor Lamp w/Inverted Thumbprint 14" Cranberry Shade
We are very pleased to be able to offer this rare and beautiful Aladdin No. 9, circa 1910, brass hanging parlor lamp! The 14" diameter inverted thumbprint (bulls-eye) cranberry shade is original to this lamp and is in mint condition. No chips, cracks or flea bites. There are two factory air bubbles in the glass. The top and bottom rims are smooth, fired twice. The wick adjuster is marked "Aladdin No. 9, The Mantle Lamp Company of America Inc., Chicago, U.S.A.". The brass frame is in excellent condition, and has been clear coated to retard tarnish. It has been electrified some time ago. The ceiling winder is present. There is one very minor ding in the brass fount. It is more of a small flat area on the fount due to pressure of some type. Very hard to see....or describe! The lamp has the original smoke bell, crown and 42 prisms. It hangs 30" long from the ceiling cap to the bottom of the frame in the full retracted position. The lower portion of the frame has a rope and leaf design, simple, but very attractive. We are sure you will appreciate this beautiful lamp as much as we do!
