Rio Grande Western Railway Individual Teapot
This is a sister piece to item #3746, a scarce Rio Grande Western Railway individual teapot. It is in excellent condition and has only been polished up. The teapot was produced by Reed & Barton, a fine name in silverplated items which was used by several railroads. The teapot is an 8 oz. one with a leaf and shell band around the body of the teapot. It has a hinged lid and is oval in shape. The dimensions of the teapot are: 7 1/4" wide (spout to handle), and 3 5/16" tall. It is bottom stamped with the Rio Grande Western Railway diamond logo, "Great Salt Lake Route," and the Reed & Barton stamp, "Silver Soldered, #354, 1." A very special and hard to find item, destined for your collection....perhaps?!
