D&RGRR & RGWRy, Rio Grande Silver Creamer

(Item: 3834)

Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

Pre-1908 D&RGRR & RGWRy, Rio Grande Dining Car Service 8 oz. Silver Creamer

A lovely pre-1908 silverplate creamer made for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad and Rio Grande Western Railway. It was manufactured by Reed & Barton, and is bottom stamped "Rio Grande Dining Car Service, Reed & Barton, Silver soldered, #354, 8oz.". Since both railroads used the name "Rio Grande", they marked their pieces this way to avoid changing out china & silverware in Grand Junction, Colorado. It is in excellent condition, with minor surface scuffs from age. The lid is attached, and has no repairs. It has only been polished. Dimensions of the creamer are; 3 3/8" tall to top of finger hold, 5 3/4" long from spout to handle, and 3" wide. This is a harder to find dining car item, and would be a very special addition to your extensive Colorado railroad collection!
