J&P Coats, Seth Thomas Gallery Advertising Clock

This is a beautifully preserved advertising gallery clock made by Seth Thomas of Thomaston, Conn.. This early clock is in excellent and original working condition. It has been cleaned & polished, but no repairs or alterations have been made. The dimensions are 16" in diameter, and 4 1/8" deep. Instructions for the clock are on the back side (see picture). The face of the clock is paper and says "J&P Coats Spool Cotton", with roman numerals for the numbers. The finish is a dark mahogany, but the wood appears to be walnut. The interior pendulum is plain brass and original. The 8-day works have been cleaned and oiled. The face of the clock has some very minor age spots and checking (see picture), but is in complete and very readable condition. This J&P Coats Spool Cotton gallery clock would be a perfect accent piece anywhere!
