16" German China Head Doll w/ Unusual Hairstyle, Original Clothing

This lovely china head doll is from the estate of a well know Colorado doll collector, Frances B. Sims, of Salida, Colorado. Mrs. Sims amassed a collection of over 1,100 dolls of all types. She was a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs for many years and won many ribbons for her dolls at UFDC conventions. We have 15 of her dolls currently at our store. This china head doll has black hair with rolled sides and a center curl, very unusual, blue eyes with red lines, rosy cheeks , and exposed ears. She is 16" tall with original cloth body, lower china arms and legs. Her boots are green with painted pink ribbon garters. She has a tiny flat chip on her right thumb, hard to see. There is also a very tiny edge chip on her right back shoulder. Located on her back is a number "4." Her dress, hat, petticoat, and bloomers are original. The dress is heavy pink cotton with tiny black & white stripes. The trim on the dress is black velvet. The hat is black straw with pink flowers and feather trim. She is in nearly perfect condition, with co cracks, chips, or rubs. Definitely A-1! She carries a small fan that Mrs. Sims may have added later. This beautiful doll would make a special addition to the collection of a serious doll lover!
