1950's Linemar Company Toy Steam Engine with Box
Nearly complete and still in working condition, this is a nice tin toy steam engine manufactured in the 1950's by the Linemar Company, Inc., Japan. It comes complete with its original box, fuel pan, and cup for pouring water into the boiler. It is missing the funnel. The box has two corners repaired and wear to all corners, no tears. The top of the box has a small hole where an engine piston wore through. The bottom of the box has a little warping. The tin painted boiler is in excellent condition, with a little grease and smoke residue near the steam valve, and a little rust on one side of the tin brick furnace (4" by 1"). It is minor and is not noticeable. Instructions are on the side of the box. The box is 9" long by 7 3/4" wide by 4 7/8" tall. The steam engine base is 8 3/4" long by 7 1/4" wide by 7" tall with the smoke stack in place. A nice collectible toy for a little . . . or big boy!
