1882 Victorian Cranberry Hobnail Hanging Parlor Lamp

A very ornate and original cranberry parlor lamp. The 14' hobnail shade is mint, no chips, cracks or imperfections! The brass has been polished, and all original parts are present except for the chain winder inside the crown. We do not lower and raise the lamps the way they used to for lighting in the old days, so this shouldn't be detrimental. The dimensions are 29' long, and 16 1/4' in diameter at the widest point. The brass top that fits over the upper edge of the cranberry shade has the patent date 'PAT. JANY. 3, 1882' stamped on one point (Please see picture). It has been electrified carefully, so the screw in electric socket can be removed, and it can be returned to the original kerosene burner in a few minutes. The quilted glass font has purpled a bit from age. This lovely cranberry parlor lamp would be a stunning accent to just about any decor, but especially a Victorian parlor!
