Victorian Floral Pattern Petit Point Purse

This beautiful petit point bag was a very time intensive project that many women undertook at home in their spare time. The work on this purse is very well executed and in great condition. There is no label, so we are assuming it was done by an individual. The frame and chain are brass, and the lining is cream taffeta with a ruffled pocket. The taffeta is somewhat dirty from use. The dimensions of the purse are; 6" wide, and 5" long, including clasp. This pretty purse displays well, and could be used as an evening bag, too!
