Victorian 48" Round Oak Claw Foot Table w/5 Leaves, by Hastings Table Co.

An extraordinary quarter sawn oak table with a wonderful five toe claw foot pedestal. The column is banded by vertically carved sections. It is the original dark finish. The top surface has been professionally refinished to match (see picture). The base has only been cleaned. It has five 9" leaves, and when fully extended it measures 93" (7'9"). The original labels reading "Hastings Table Co., Hastings, Michigan" are on the underside of the table top (see pictures). It is also ink stamped underneath with the name of the company who originally sold it "Robert Miller's Sons, W 42nd St., New York City" (see picture). It would be magnificent in a formal dining room, a special dining experience for those lucky enough to be invited to one of your dinner parties!
