1915 Golden Oak Buffet w/Double China Cabinets
This is a very beautiful and unusual piece. It is in excellent condition. We feel it was refinished probably 30 or so years ago. It is golden oak, and the finish is in excellent condition. The center portion is a buffet, with a rectangular beveled mirror, two center drawers and two lower doors. The top drawer is lined with dark blue velvet for silverware. It is original and worn. It could be replaced if the new owner wants to. All hardware is original and in excellent condition, as is the glass. Each end is a china cabinet, having two shelves, with glass on each end. You can see the Art Deco influence by the door designs and hardware. There is a key for the two china cabinets. The feet are Queen Anne style. Two feet have been added in the back for stability since the center section is so heavy. The only flaw in this gorgeous piece is that the tops of the china cabinet ends have a slight angle towards the center section. This was a factory flaw and in no way detracts from the beauty of this china/buffet. Dimensions of the piece are; 60 1/2 " wide, 20 1/4" deep and 54 3/4" tall in the center. It is very heavy, being all solid oak, no veneer. This double china cabinet/buffet would make a fabulous piece for your formal dining room!
