Hunters Root Beer Soda Fountain Syrup Dispenser

(Item: 4105JC)

Pat'd 1917 Hunter Root Beer Stoneware Soda Fountain Syrup Dispenser

Here is a recent acquisition we are happy to offer. A Hunter Root Beer syrup dispenser in fabulous condition. It is glazed stoneware in the shape of an upright barrel on a stump. The barrel is golden beige, the stump is brown. The words "Hunter's Root Beer" are in raised script, black glazed. There are no chips or cracks. There is one tiny glaze flaw at the base which can not be seen except with very close inspection. The original lid is present and excellent condition, with only a ½" round glaze drip, no chips or cracks. The spigot is Brown Bakelite, with the words "Pat'd Sept. 4, 1917, C.&H.N.Y." around the edge where it screws on. With a magnifying glass you can see one 3/8" stress hairline from age on the edge of the spigot where it screws on. The rubber seals are a little dry, but not cracked. Dimensions of this fine soda fountain syrup dispenser are; 12 1/4"tall, the base is an irregular 8" in diameter, and the Bakelite spigot is 2 3/4" long. This would be a very fun and conversation-causing collectible for your home!
