1890's Oak Jewelers Advertising Regulator Calendar Clock
This is a very nice and all original solid oak regulator clock with a 31 day calendar feature. It is a full size regulator with advertising in gold paint on the bottom half of the door that reads, "H.W. Slingluff & Co. Watchmakers, Jewelers and Engravers. New London, Iowa." The clock was manufactured by the Session Clock Company, Forestville, Connecticut. The works, face, key, pendulum, case and glass are all original. It has only been cleaned and runs well. It is an 8 day time only calendar regulator clock. Under the face inside the case are several lines of pencilled writing with the dates of when it was worked on in the past. The case finish is dark oak with a star pattern in the edge around the clock door. There is a very small ½" by 2 ½" edge piece missing from the lower edge trim of the clock. This appears to have been broken off a very long time ago and is not noticeable. We decided it was too minor to attempt any repair. Dimensions of the clock are: 38 1/4" long, 17 7/8" wide, and 5" deep. This great clock would be a fine timepiece to decorate your home and enjoy for years to come!
