Circa 1900 Child's Push Sled
For those who enjoy the old fashioned Christmas toys, this child's push sled will really appeal to you! This child's sled is too cute for words. The runners are bent oak, with iron banding and iron supports. The bent handle is oak also. The sled body is wood, but we're not sure what type, since it is painted. The sled has been recently restored, and the sled is painted a dark red. It is pinstriped in flat black, with a little scrolled detailed. The seat inside the sled is wood, upholstered in a cream with rose, blue and green designs. There is one 3" long by ½" piece of wood missing at the corner of the foot board. It is not noticeable, but must be mentioned. The sled is structurally perfect, no repairs needed. This little push sled would be a fabulous piece to display your dolls, teddy bears, or whatever wonderful antiques you might have!
