Victorian Ruby Bohemian Glass Five Bottle Castor Set in Meriden Silverplate Frame

We see quite a lot of reproduction in this area these days. This lovely set is old and original. The ruby bottles are cut to clear in a rose and vine pattern. They are in perfect condition, no chips or cracks. The stoppers are matching faceted stoppers, also in excellent condition, with just one edge flake on the base of one stopper. The Meriden quadruple plate frame was quite black with tarnish, but has cleaned up very nicely. If it was re-silvered, it was done quite a few years ago. The frame has an Eastlake design handle, with stylized flowers and leaves. The frame is 14 ½"tall, and 7 3/4" in diameter. The oil and vinegar bottles are 8" tall with stoppers, the salt and pepper bottles are 7 1/4" tall, and the mayonnaise or mustard pot is 5 3/4" tall. There is a spoon with this piece, but it is not original to the set. This castor set is a very beautiful and complete set, ready to display . . . or use.
