1890's Quarter Sawn Oak Buffet w/ Leaded Glass & Claw Feet
This is one of the nicest buffets that we have offered to our clients in several years! It is quarter sawn dark golden oak, with curved leaded glass doors and five toe claw feet. The gallery (top) of the buffet has beautiful applied scrolling and lions heads, columns, and an oval beveled mirror. The base has one long lower drawer, two side doors, three middle drawers, one of which has a curved and carved front and is lined with the original dark blue velvet for silver flatware. The center door has a beautiful applied winged lions head and foot. The two side doors feature curved leaded glass. This buffet is in exceptional condition, with minor cosmetic repairs. The professional finish has been restored to its full beauty. The brass hardware is in perfect condition. The pull handles are all lions heads, polished to a soft gloss that matches the carved center door. Dimensions of this very fine buffet are; 48 1/8" wide, 21 ½" deep, 39 1/4" from the foot to the work surface, and it is 58" in overall height, including the gallery. If you have been searching for that perfect piece to compliment your home, this is certainly it!
