Victorian Figural Napkin Ring, Chick by Egg on Wishbone, Derby Silver Company
This sweet Victorian napkin ring probably made a lovely wedding present a few decades ago! This napkin ring is the nicer version, with a wishbone under the ring, or cracked egg, with a tiny chick on the side of the egg. "Best Wishes" is steel cut along with flowers and ferns on the egg. The napkin ring is bottom marked "Derby Silver Co., Birmingham, Conn., #335." The anchor and crown logo dates this napkin to the period between 1900 and 1920. Dimensions of this silverplate napkin ring are; 2 1/4" tall, and 3" from the end of the wishbone to the edge of the base under the chick. A fine little napkin ring ready to grace your dining table!
