A unique and beautiful sugar castor with an aqua blue coin dot insert. The 12 spoons are marked "Wm. A. Rogers", and all match. The lid of the castor has a "2" etched inside, and the finial features a peacock. The feet of the castor have storks with scalloped lower edge (see picture). The plating is in very good condition on the lid, and most of the frame, but the feet and upper frame are very worn. The insert is 2 3/4" tall, and 4 11/16" in diameter. It has 4 or 5 flea bites, or tiny flakes on the inner edge of the insert. The frame is 11 7/8" tall, and 6 1/4" in diameter. This is a very wonderful and decorative piece for a Victorian lover. Sugar anyone?!
