D&RGRR Handlan Lantern w/ Clear Cast Tall Mellon Globe

Here is another fine example of a railroad lantern from days long gone on the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. This early teens piece is in very good condition, and has been cleaned of dirt and oil, then hand polished. It retains a lot of tin and good metal, with only a few dings on the top lid, and slight surface roughness on the bottom of the fuel fount holder. This is very minor, but must be mentioned for accuracy. It comes with the correct Handlan fount and burner that is all tin, and will still hold oil and burn. The 5 3/8" tall clear cast “D&RG” mellon globe is in very good condition, with only few light surface scratches, but no rim chips on the top and bottom rims. The frame stands 10" tall without the bail handle. A very nice Colorado railroad collectable that you can proudly display in your showroom!
