D&RGWRR 1947 Adlake-Kero Lantern w/Amber Etched Globe

(Item: 4455C)

Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

D&RGWRR 1947 Adlake-Kero Lantern w/Amber Etched Corning Globe

This item is sure to please any railroad collector! A 1947 Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Adlake-Kero Lantern with a very hard to find amber etched "D&RGW, Safety First" Corning short globe. The globe is in excellent condition. A medium to light colored 3 1/4" tall Corning amber globe, which fits the era of the frame, a nice match. There is one "no show in the frame" bottom rim flake (see picture). The frame is all original dark tin, we have only cleaned off any oil and dirt, all original. It is embossed on the lid "Adlake-Kero, D&RGWRy" on the lid. This is a mis-print from the factory like the 1942 Adlake-Kero "D&RGWRP" lanterns from that era. There are no dings or rust on the frame. The bottom is also embossed Adlake-Kero, 3-47" with the USA and Canadian patent dates below that, very nice piece. It comes with the correct Adlake-kero #300 fount and burner that will still hold oil and burn. Here's your chance to own a hard to find 1940's D&RGWRR lantern,...all aboard!
