Santa Fe Railway Caboose Adlake Marker Light

(Item: 4506C)

Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

Santa Fe Railway Caboose Adlake Marker Light

This Santa Fe Railway flat top Adlake style caboose-rear end marker light is in excellent ready to use condition. The lantern frame is embossed with "Santa Fe" near the bottom. There is no makers mark, but it is in the Adlake style. The frame appears to have been repainted by the railroads shop a long time ago, and does show some small paint chipping in a few areas from use. There is some surface roughness at the bottom of the drop-down pinch fuel fount, but it will still hold oil, and comes complete with the correct "Pyrex" chimney. There are two 4" amber Corning lenses, one 4" green Corning lens, and one 5" large red Corning lens. All are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. This very fine lantern measures 14" tall with fuel pot in place, and is 8 3/4" wide. It is missing the dual mounting brackets. The lamp has only been cleaned of oil & soot. Marker lights are harder to find than switch lamps, and this lamp would be a great present for any collector of Santa Fe Railway memorabilia!
