Denver & Rio Grande Railroad 1909 Adams & Westlake Lantern w/ Red Etched "D&RG" Tall MacBeth Evans Globe

Here is your chance to own a very nice D&RG Railroad double wire guard lantern that is sure to please! The frame stands 10 1/4" tall without the bail, and has only been cleaned of oil & dirt. It is in excellent condition with lots of original tin. Very straight! It is embossed on the top lid "D&RGRR, The Adams & Westlake Company, Chicago, New York", with the last Patent date of "Jan. 26, 1909". The 5 3/8" tall red MacBeth Evans globe is etched "D&RG" on one side, and "Safety First" on the other side. The globe is cast near the top "M E G Co, 18", which stands for MacBeth Evans Glass Company. The globe is in excellent condition with only two very small inside top rim flea bites. Very minor, but must be mentioned for accuracy (See picture #8). The lantern comes with the correct Adlake fount & burner. The burner is stamped "Adlake, Apr. 1909". It will still hold oil and burn. This rare D&RG Railroad lantern is sure to please any Colorado rail fan!

The 5 3/8" tall red MacBeth Evans globe is etched "D&RG" on one side, and "Safety First" on the other side.
